So if you have been doing development before on XP and using the one (or more) of the power toys that you could download and are now using Vista, you may want to have the ability to right click on a folder and select "Command prompt here"
Good news is that you don't need to go and download the power toys anymore - this functionality is built right into the OS (albeit hidden away)
So what do you do? Simply hold how the shiift key and then right click on the folder and there you go, "Open Command Window here" magically appears.
Below shows doing this from the desktop but of course you can do this in explorer which is you normal port of call I suspect.
